Tell Me the Stories of Jesus is a sweet little hymn written in 1885 supposedly at the request of a Sunday school class. The tune is quite simple but still quite lovely. The lyrics were written by William Henry Parker and the tune by Frederic A. Challinor.
This particular arrangement by Mark Lewis is for a bell weaving trio. Ringers 1 and 2 will need to be able to utilize travelling 4-in-hand techniques, Ringer 3 will need to be able to keep a very steady waltz pattern going while switching between bells, and all ringers will have some very quick bell changes. While the piece is challenging, most intermediate players should be able to perform it with sufficient practice time.
