Solo Ringing
There a variety of ways to become a 'solo' handbell ringer. Each way has it's own challenges and benefits. Blanche Marie has enjoyed the challenge of learning how to be a solo ringer.
A solo ringer can set up their bells on the table, similar to a handbell ensemble. Watch as Blanche Marie rings "His Grace" with 2 octaves of handbells.
Or the ringer can hold multiple bells in hand, as in this example of "Kingsfold".
It's also possible to hang the bells from a stand and set up a "handbell tree". The solo ringer then uses mallets to play the bells. Check out this method of solo ringing as Blanche Marie plays "Bluebird's Flight".
